About Me

A career coach can be helpful when you are lacking clarity in what you want to do and lacking confidence in how to get there. For sixteen years I have helped thousands gain clarity and confidence in their career transition and job search. I have done this with individuals and groups in higher education, the non-profit sector, on military installations and in my private practice.

A lifelong learner, you will find me taking a course, attending webinars, reading books, listening to podcasts, seeking mentorship and providing mentorship, all to stay abreast of current hiring trends and coaching techniques so that I can provide quality services to my clients.

I hold a graduate degree and have been trained and certified as a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) through the National Career Development Association (NCDA) and as a Federal Job Search Coach. I am trained and certified in various career interest assessments such as Myers-Briggs, Strong Interest Inventory, Holland Self-Directed Search, Knowdell Card Sorts and other career planning tools and techniques, and have been a member of the National Career Development Association (NCDA) since 2007.

Giving back to the local community is important to me – I volunteer at a veteran service organization, a human rights organization, and at a local university. I am a co-founder of a non-profit veteran service organization in San Diego, California, helping senior level officers, enlisted personnel and spouses transition into the civilian workforce.
